Kejriwal's custody extended till May 7

-Insulin was given for the first time in jail
-Tihar administration said- Sugar level was 217, hence given less dose.
New Delhi. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday 23 April extended the judicial custody of Arvind Kejriwal till 7 May. Before this, Kejriwal's custody was extended from April 1 to April 15, then till April 23. After this order of the court, Kejriwal will now remain in jail during the second (April 26) and third (May 7) phase of voting of the Lok Sabha elections.
Apart from Kejriwal, BRS leader K. The custody of Kavita and another accused Charanpreet has also been extended till May 7. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said during the hearing that K. In Kavita's case, the agency will file charge sheet in 60 days.
Kejriwal was arrested on March 21
ED had arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in the liquor policy case. He appeared in Rouse Avenue Court on 22 March, from where he was sent on remand to AU till 28 March. He is in Tihar jail since April 1.
Insulin given on Monday
Meanwhile, Tihar administration said that Kejriwal was given insulin on Monday evening. Officials said he was given two units of low-dose insulin as his sugar level had reached 217 at 7 pm on Monday. The AIIMS team had said that if the level crossed 200, he could be given low dose insulin.
